Mekan Group of Companies was founded in 2000, by myself Lekgari Mekgwe, Jose Antunes. The name MEKAN was derived from our two last names. MEKgwe and ANtunes. Mekan Group of Companies is a multi disciplinary group of four companies Mekan Engineering Services, Mekan Civils, Mekan Facilities Management and Project Management. Myself and Sebenzile Bakubaku later founded Mekan Engineering Services in 2003. We were later joined by Vivian Shabangu and recently Thapi Thoka.
We strive to transform communities, companies, and the industrys’ landscape, adopting dual roles as both caring neighbors and innovative nation builders. Since its foundation, the Company has built a focused portfolio of high quality assets with an attractive growth profile. We have built a lasting legacy that today forms the foundation on which we continue to serve and grow.
